People over the years, have come up with the conclusion that Christianity is boring. I totally disagree with that statement. I have been a real Christian for 2 years and it is actually quite cool. You have a feeling of safety, that God is with you. You face challenges on a daily basis, and when you conquer those challenges you feel great. Being in the presence of God, the creator of the heavens and the earth is an honor. You get that urge to do things that are pleasing to him. You get a feeling of completeness.
Since i became Christian, i found it very difficult to stop listening to music that is carnal. However I was introduced to Gospel rap, which was a great replacement, because it was better then the carnal music. I always thought that Gospel music was only classified into one genre. However Gospel music has revolutionised, in terms of genre. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the same, the message never changed, but the medium has. Devoted Christians such as Lecrae, Sho baraka, Flame, Dwayne Tryumf and Jin, has started the genre of Gospel rap. Preaching the gospel, in a way that the people of today could relate to. There is also other genres such as rock, country r&b etc.
In future posts i will posts more songs that can be listened to by the Modern Day Christians (MDC), after some reviewing. May God continue to bless you and remember Jesus is lord
